GODS PROMISES WHEN YOU ARE HURTING

GODS PROMISES WHEN YOU ARE HURTING

We are living in a world of hurt. But there is hope in the midst of hurting.

Yes, because there is a God who cares and who promises to protect and provide.

The question is why do we hurt? Why does God allow it?

How long can I hang on? How long until things change?

This is one of the reasons why I like to teach and raise up a solid teaching of Gods word.

God’s word can bring comfort to ones life, whether it is pain or illness from a physical situation or a financial melt down.

Some of the things we face daily are depression, feeling discouraged, and feeling impatient.

We even sometimes get so low we start doubting God.

So what do you do when you are at the point that you don’t know what to do?

Sometimes you might think you are sure about what you need to do; then fear shows up.

Isaiah 41:10   10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Another time you want to make a decision but lack the courage to step out in faith.

When you feel uncertain about making a decision, know in your heart that God will give you the courage you need.

Psalms 27:14   14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

God will give you strength for every situation you face.

When you rely on His power, you will run and not be weary, that’s Gods promise to you.

Let’s say your facing financial difficulties, financial problems can build up incredible stress, worry and anxiety.

You can get so preoccupied about how you will ever pay these bills off.

Turning to God for wisdom and direction is a vital step toward financial freedom.

His word is filled with the knowledge and insight you need for getting through these tough times.

Matthew 6:31-33   31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

God knows your needs and will provide in ways you can’t even imagine.

Ephesians 3:20   20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

He has promised to supply all your needs, according to the riches of His perfect knowledge, unlimited power an unshakeable love for you.

Psalms 34:10   10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek theLord shall not want any good thing.

One of the things we really need to do is totally surrender our lives to God.

The word surrender means: an act of yielding or giving up our way of doing things and going to God and seeking His way of doing things.

Sometimes after people reach a certain age they start thinking I’ve worked all my life and I don’t have a thing to show for it.

Then either Anger or depression starts showing up.

Ephesians 4:26-27   26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
27 Neither give place to the devil.
Don’t ever let anger control your thoughts. Anger and depression will cause you to want to give up.

So what do you do? When you don’t know what to do, go to God, and say to God, I surrender all.

When you surrender all you have to God, you will get all that God has for you.

THE COVENANT OF GRACE

THE COVENANT OF GRACE

Roman 11:6   And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

This period of grace was made available only after the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

And because of Gods grace we are no longer subject to living under the law.

By accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior, we have been redeemed by the shed blood of Jesus, not as of bulls and goats.

So if it is not by grace through faith, then it falls to works, under the law.

Another way of saying it is:  grace is no longer grace if you add works to it.

We say we believe in grace, which is Gods unmerited favor, but when things don’t go the way we think they should we return to our own performance “works”

And when you add to grace, it is no longer grace.

Romans 5:1-3   Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
After being justified by faith, we have access into this grace and rejoice in the hope of glory, and also in tribulations.
This is Gods promise, faith is a lifestyle, it is a positive response of things made available at the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
If grace can’t make it available, faith can’t make it available. Grace makes, faith takes.
For the manifestation of grace to come from the supernatural realm to the natural realm, faith must be involved.
Why? Because grace depends on faith and believing you will receive.
Romans 1:17   17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
God declares us to be right with Him, because of faith and faith alone…. Faith has raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 2: 8-9   For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
To get the spoken word of God, you have to get in the word of God, to hear the spoken word of God.
Romans 10:17   17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Faith only comes by hearing, you get knowledge of the word by reading, but you need wisdom and discerning by the Holy Spirit through faith to receive the manifestation of God.
Once you believe strong enough by faith, until there is no doubt in you that God will do what He says, then His word through grace by faith will manifest the promises.
Break through and victory comes from the word of God, but you need to get into the word and read and read, “Study”, until you hear a spoken word. A spoken word is when it is discerned by the Holy Spirit directly to your spirit.
When faith meets grace heaven responds, when you got saved, you have the right to everything that grace has made available.
When you got born again your spirit man was made perfect. If your soul and body can catch up with your spirit, you will get quick results from God.
Your spirit is already active, now we have to get our mind renewed in the word of God.
Faith is a law that sets grace into motion. See yourself in the word; meditate on the subject of the inner image of faith.
Philemon 5:6   Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;
That out of communication, or our bible studies, will become effectual by acknowledging the word, which is in you; which is the word in Christ Jesus.

Romans 4:13-16   13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:
15 Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.
16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

The promise to Abraham and his seed, to be Heir of the world, was not through the law. It was through the righteousness of faith.

If the law could have made them heirs, faith would have been made void and the promise made of no effect.

Where the law is there is no transgression no stepping over or getting around it. It is the breaking of or violation of any law, it is an offense.

Romans 4:16   16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
1 John 3:4   Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
Satan can only tempt you when you are weak in faith. Faith overcomes temptation.

The strength of the believer depends on how much you depend on God. Faith is what makes it possible.

Think about how much you depend on your money, your job, and your material things. How much confidence you put are putting in these.
Jesus totally depended on God the Father.

John 14:10   10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

Everything for your spiritual and secular life depends on how much you are depending on God.
When you start depending on yourself instead of God you’re falling back under the law.
To believe the word, is to be persuaded that His word will work.

Grace is no longer grace when we start adding our works to it.

Grace doesn’t need our performance to assure us that his grace is sufficient.

Remember grace makes: faith takes.

Psalms 89:34   34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

Power of Prayer

Power of Prayer

The power of prayer is no more or no less than the mighty power of God released through the life of a person who stops being an obstacle of God. The power is God’s alone.

Most people mistakenly credit spiritual gains and victories only to prayer.

True prayer releases the power to bring these results, but God is the source of that power.

This should add great depth of meaning to our prayer.

So if the power of prayer is truly the power of God
(And it is) then prayer … power is unlimited.

Truly there is enough of God’s power available to answer every prayer ever prayed.

If one could estimate the weight of the world, tell the size of the Holy City, count the stars of heaven, measure the speed of lightening, and tell the time of the rising and setting sun, you still couldn’t come close to estimating the prayer…power.

Prayer is as vast as God, because he is the one behind it.

Prayer is as mighty as God because he has committed himself to answer it.
James 5:14-16   14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

There is no situation or problem too great for the power of prayer.
It leads to all blessings, taps into all of Gods power, and brings the prayer warrior into the very presence of God himself.

Here are the vast possibilities of prayer, wisdom; knowledge, holiness, and heaven are at the command of prayer.
The power of prayer is largely untapped by the church today.
The power of prayer is not a hidden power; it is in the believers, waiting only to be unharnessed.
Remember Jesus lives in us, and he has all power in heaven and earth.

Matthew 28:18   18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
John 3:35   35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.
Jeremiah 33:3   Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

Prayer is the power that moves the hand of God.
It is the hand that strikes down Satan, and breaks the burden of sin.

Prayer does more than affect the person who prays, but prayer also reaches out to God on the behalf of others.

A most vital area of an improved self is the aspect of total surrender, the need to accept Gods forgiveness.
Some Christians unfortunately have a poor self image, because they have not fully learned to accept Gods forgiveness.

So they constantly suffer spiritually. They do not feel worthy of coming before a holy God in their present condition.

If we continually convince ourselves that we are nothing, it will be impossible for us to maintain the confidence needed to do the Job God has called us to do.

Here is where prayer is so vital in conquering these dangers… the danger of an unforgiving spirit.
If we want our prayers answered, we must not have any ought against anyone.

Mark 11:25   25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

Only in finding Gods will can we be a part of Gods unique plan for our lives, and only through Jesus Christ will we be able to make that happen.

John 14:6   Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Prayer is simply seeking Gods word, getting His views, His plans and carrying out those plans with His grace, His ability and His wisdom.
Seeking God through prayer only works in line with his word. The reason being is that Gods word has been settled in heaven and His word is a covenant he made with mankind.
It started with Abraham, then with Moses then with his son Jesus.
Acts 3:25-26   25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.
26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

If you need healing see what the word says, then go to the father and start praising him that through the stripes of Jesus we were healed, not going to be healed.

If you want prosperity in your life by faith, believe that God has already met your needs; he already knew you had a need before you did.

Prayers being manifested does not happen on your holiness: It is based on your faith.
We keep thinking it is our self-righteousness that allows us to accomplish only what Jesus can accomplish.

We keep thinking if we fasted more, meditated more, and came to church more, that it would let us accomplish more… wrong thinking.

It is all through Gods word, through faith, by Gods mercy and His grace, by your faith and believing God will do what he says he will do.

We also think if I perform or study more I can be more holy, we keep thinking what we do is enough… not so.

Every time we try to earn something it’s not enough. It will never be enough.
We keep working to get God to do what has already been done.

Just be willing to accept what the blood of Jesus has already done.

Grace makes, faith takes.

2 Corinthians 12:9   And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Sufficient = As much as needed to fill the means of accomplishments.

RESISTING THE DEVIL

RESISTING THE DEVIL

James 4:7   Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

The word submit means to yield to the power of the Holy Spirit, and to Gods power.

Don’t’ allow Satan to tempt you into fighting a spiritual war with carnal weapons.

Faith of a believer can access grace: in Gods grace we can command and cancel Satins power with Gods power and our authority. We can bind demonic power because greater is he that is in us, than he that is in the world.

Ephesians 6:10-11   10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

USING SUPERNATURAL AUTHORITY

USING SUPERNATURAL AUTHORITY

Matthew 10:7-8 7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

He didn’t ask them to pray, he told them to go and heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers and cast out devils.

Then he said something different, he said, freely you have received, freely give.

1 Timothy 4:11 says, these things command and teach: what things? Everything in Gods word that pertains to your life through grace by faith.

God has to manifest healing, prosperity, and everything heaven has made available, through the finished work of Jesus at the cross, by faith.

When Jesus said it is finished, it meant nothing according to the word was left undone. He paid in full for it all.

3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
