DESIRE OF YOUR HEART

DESIRE OF YOUR HEART

Psalms 37:4   Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

What a promise. God loves us so much that when we delight ourselves in His word, He is willing to give us the desires of our heart. To gain the desires of our hearts we must be obedient to God’s word. In other words, don’t look and desire the things of the wicked, but rather the things of the Lord.

So many times, people ask God for something for the wrong reason, then when it doesn’t manifest, they are disappointed. To receive from God, you must understand how the word of God works.

First, we need to remember that God is a spirit, and He mostly works in the spirit realm. When His word says delight yourself also in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart, these desires you have must line up with the plans the Father has for your life as a believer. We need to be that someone who’s heart delights when something is said concerning His goodness and mercy.

God also works in the physical, mental and financial realm. If he didn’t our prayers would not help. There are some who wonder if God hears our prayers, yes he does, however like I stated before, they must line up with His word and His plan for your life.

I as a person and a father would not give one of my children something that I felt would hurt them. Neither would our loving heavenly Father. He is all knowing and loves us too much to allow us to receive something that would cause harm to ourselves. So, no we do not receive everything that we ask for.

Mark 11:24    24 Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

If we are seeking to do the will of God, we will only want what God desires for us. When you pray remember the value of prayer is only as valuable as the faith you have to receive what you are praying for. The receiving of these things you desire requires a relationship with the Father. That relationship is the key to your prayers being answered.

Mark 11:25-26   25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

When you pray or ask God for your desire to be manifested you must not be holding ought, or a grudge, against anyone, this passage is implying that the above promise will not be honored if we harbor unforgiveness. Forgiveness from the Lord for ourselves is predicated on our forgiveness of others.

If we don’t forgive people who offend or hurt us, God the Father will not forgive us our trespasses. Unforgiveness breaks down relationships which destroys Gods whole system of forgiveness. Jesus died for the forgiveness of all men. We have no right to hold ought against people. We are to be an example of forgiveness and love. As we forgive so also does God forgives us, and is able to answer our prayers.

Matthew 6:21   21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Each person determines their own character, if that be not simple and heavenward but earthward and double, all the faculties and principles of his nature will become a mass of darkness. It is impossible to have a divided allegiance with God.

We humans are made up of body, soul and spirit. the soul of a human is made up of his mind will and emotion. The mind is the thinking part of your soul. The will is what you want and your emotions are responsible for your actions.

Your will is something that you want and you can override your thinking and emotions to the point of wrong desires. If the eye be set upon treasures on earth, the life and character of the believer will be shrouded in moral darkness.

God knows that we have need of things to make life good. If we live for him, ever seeking his will, we have the guarantee of his word which states he will provide for us.

Philippians 4:19    19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Paul is assuring the Philippians and all other believers as well that they have not impoverished themselves in giving as liberally as they can to the cause of Christ. Paul was teaching them to go ahead and support the cause of Christ. That God would supply all their need, according to his riches in glory, made possible by Christ Jesus. The measure of supply will be determined by the wealth of God in glory.

James 4:2   Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.

Doesn’t this sound a lot like today’s world? People keep on lusting, and have not. Its referring to them wanting what every working person has, but to worthless to get a job and buy it. You kill and desire to have and cannot obtain. The word here, kill, refers to destroying the things of another in order to gain advantage and do so with wrong desire.

You fight and war yet you have not, because you ask not, is referring to believers who don’t seek the Lord for their desires to be manifested, but rather depend upon their own understanding and other sources that are irregular to say the least instead of seeking God’s desire for their life.

James 4:3    Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

You ask and receive not because you ask for something that is not what God has planned for your life. Your lust or greed is causing you to ask for a myth.

When you have a desire be sure it lines up with the word of God, according to His will, not for your own lustful thinking. If it lines up with God’s desire for your life, He will honor your desire. Remember this whole life we are living is for God and His purpose. We are working to promote His kingdom and draw souls to Him. Our whole objective is Heaven.

TAKE NO THOUGHT OF TOMORROW

TAKE NO THOUGHT OF TOMORROW

What is worry? It is a troubled state of mind that causes anxiety, distress and uneasiness. It is something that causes mental distress.

If you are anxious or having anxiety, concerned or worried about an event. Maybe an uncertain future, a moment which disturbs the mind and keeps it in the state of painful uneasiness.

Matthew 6: 31-34     31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Take no though here means don’t worry, the Greek text actually means that even one anxious though is forbidden because it shows a distrust in the Lord.

Verse 32 is telling us that the Heavenly Father knows what we have need of. All of the things that pertain to life and godliness.

Verse 33, is saying you must seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness for you to receive all of God’s provision for your life.

Take no thought of tomorrow is talking about there is no promise of tomorrow. When you worry about things you start getting over into the area of your soul, which is made up of your mind, will and emotions.

Your mind is what you think with, your will is what you want, and you act on your emotions.

Worry will cause your mind to go into a troubled state and leads you to doubting, doubting God’s word. At that point your WILL decides what you want and goes into an anxiety state of mind.

At this point your emotions cause to act on and react to and it puts you into a mental mess.

That is why the verse 6:34 says take no though for tomorrow. We are to keep trusting our Lord no matter what trial we face.

We are made up of body, soul and spirit.

Ephesians 1:13   13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

Once you have heard the word and believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit.

Even though your spirit is sealed, you still have to deal with your flesh and soul.

Your soul is not sealed. You may ask why? It is because when you were created God gave you a free will and your soul is responsible for keeping your soul righteous before God.

Our soul is what will be judge when we stand before Christ Jesus.

Stay focused on the word today. Tomorrow will take care of itself. If you have a mountain in your life speak to the mountain.

This mountain that I am referring to is the enemy attacking you and the only thing you have to defeat this mountain is faith.

Faith will move mountains. Use the power and authority that is in the name of Jesus. It will be all you need to break the chains and cast this mountain out of your life.

It is impossible to have peace in your life if worry is involved, worry will hinder your joy, which is your strength.

Without God’s peace and joy, you will wear down because you are using your own strength, and eventually you will end up with a big mess of stress.

This is when you need to make a decision to turn to God and tell Him, I need Your help Lord to get through this.

If you are sincere God will break the chains in your life and move you from the natural way of thinking to thinking in His supernatural way.

Stay in the Word and lean on His strength in all things. He is waiting to hear from you. He wants to help you with your daily walk.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF VISION

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF VISION

HOSEA 4:6     my people are destroyed for the lack of knowledge

because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee… I will also forget thy children

I keep seeing among Christians today a great need, and lack in their lives.

Everywhere I go, everywhere I look, I find that God’s people lack something.

They are hungry for something, and they are thirsting for something, and they don’t know how to feed it or quench it

A feeling of insecurity, and their lives being defeated

Some have experienced stress so long, that depression has set in and created a lifestyle of hopelessness…

They don’t realize or understand the fullness of god, the promises of god and the provisions of god…

Proverbs 29:18       where there is no vision the people perish…

The lack of vision produces spiritual poverty due to spiritual darkness

Because of spiritual darkness, there is no revelation of God’s word…

Vision is not just an image, it is also revelation and knowledge of God’s will for your life

When you reject God’s knowledge of the word, you also reject his law.

To keep your vision, you must be filled with love that comes from a pure heart… a clear conscience and sincere faith.

The Christians of today seem to be powerless, why???

Because we lack God’s fullness in our lives.

The word says to be filled with the Holy Spirit

Acts 4:31   they were filled with the holy ghost and spake in the word of God with boldness led by the Holy Spirit…

God’s wisdom only comes from and thru the Holy Spirit…

The fullness of God, the promise of God and the provision of God, led by the Holy Spirit will complete the purpose that God has for your life… did you know that God has a purpose for your life?

The fullness of God is nothing broken, nothing missing…

Regardless of what you might think, or feel at times; you are very important to the body of Christ

Don’t let circumstances around you or what someone might say be a direction for your future…

Be a person anointed by God and full of faith led by the Holy Spirit and not by circumstances.

God sees you differently than you see yourself

We step into the world mindset of negative thinking and start looking at the circumstances around us… get over into a word mindset.

Hebrews 10: 35   35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.

As long as we are on this earth, the devil will use circumstances to challenge our confidence in God’s word.

He will use wicked deception to fool those who refuse to believe the truth… the truth that would have saved them…

John 8:31-32    31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

If you will stay in the word, or if you will live by what I say you are truly my disciple

Then you will know the truth, and only then will the truth set you free

1st Peter 5:8     be sober, be vigilant (or alert) because your adversary, the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour

In John 10: 10 Jesus says… I am come that you might have life and life abundantly

Philippians 4: 19     but my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory, by Christ Jesus

Mathew 6: 33    33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Stay in the word.

WE ARE SEALED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT

WE ARE SEALED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT

John 14:6   Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

So how can we know the only way to God? Only through Jesus, Jesus is the way because he is both God and man. By uniting our lives with him we are united with God.

Jesus says he is the only way to God the father. Some people may argue that this way is too narrow. In reality it is wide enough for the whole world.

If the world chooses to accept it, instead of worrying about how limited it sounds to have only one way. We should be saying thank you God for providing a sure way to be with you.

As the way, Jesus is our path to the Father, as the truth he is the reality of all Gods promises, as the life Jesus joins his divine life to ours, both now and in eternity.

2 Timothy 2:19   19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

No matter how many people follow false teachers the solid foundation of Gods truth never changes, it is never shaken and will never fade, when we follow Gods truth. He will never forsake us.

We can not shape the doctrines of scripture to match our opinions. If we do we are putting ourselves and our thoughts above God. Our beliefs should be consistent with what Gods word says.

Ephesians 1:3-7   Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

This means that in Christ Jesus we have all the benefits of knowing God, being chosen for salvation, being adopted as his children, receiving forgiveness, insight, the gifts of the spirit, power to do Gods will and the hope of living forever with Jesus. Because we have an intimate relationship with Jesus we can enjoy all these blessings now.

The mystery of salvation originated in the timeless mind of God long before we existed. God chose us and when we belong to him through Jesus God looks at us as if we had never sinned.

2 Corinthians 1: 20-22   20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
21 Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God;
22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.

All of Gods promises are fulfilled in Christ Jesus, the Holy Spirit guarantees that we belong to God and will receive all his benefits. The holy spirit guarantees that salvation is ours now. And that we will receive so much more when Jesus returns.

The great comfort and power the Holy Spirit gives in this life is a foretaste of the benefits of our eternal life in Gods presence, along with the privilege of belonging to God comes the responsibility of identifying ourselves as His faithful servants.

John 3:16-18   16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Here God sets the pattern of true love. The basis for all love relationships. When you love someone dearly you are willing to give freely to the point of self-sacrifice.

God paid dearly with the life of his son. It was the highest price he could pay. Jesus accepted our punishment, paid the price for our sins, then offered us the new life that he bought and paid for with his shed blood.

Eternal life is not a extension of a persons mortal life, eternal life is Gods life embodied in Christ, given to all believers as a guarantee that they will live forever. They will have an eternal life, there is no sickness, death, enemies, evil, or sin.

When we don’t know Jesus, we make choices as though this life is all we have. In reality this life is just the introduction to eternity.by receiving this new life by faith we begin to evaluate all that happens from an eternal perspective.

When Jesus talks about unbelievers, he means those who reject or ignore him completely, not those who have doubt about the word being truth.

Ephesians 1:12-13   12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

God’s purpose is to offer salvation to the world. Just as he had planned to do long ago. God is sovereign, he is in charge, when your life seems chaotic, rest in His truth. Gods purpose is to save you.

The Holy Spirit is Gods guarantee that we belong to Him and he will do what he has promised. The Holy Spirit in us to demonstrate that our faith is genuine.

It proves that we are Gods children and secures eternal life for us. His power works in us to transform us now by sealing our spirit by his Holy Spirit at the moment we accept His son Jesus as Lord and Savior.

When you do this you will experience a taste of the total change in eternity. If for some reason you decide to ignore Christ as Lord and savior you will be judged at the white throne judgement, here is what Jesus will say to you.

Matthew 7:21-23   21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

He will say to you depart from me for I never knew you.

Jesus really will not know you, think about it!!!

What Shall I Do When I'm Hurting

What Shall I Do When I'm Hurting

We are living in a world of hurt. But there is hope in the midst of hurting.

Yes, because there is a God who cares and who promises to protect and provide.

The question is why do we hurt? Why does God allow it?

How long can I hang on? How long until things change?

This is one of the reasons why I like to teach and raise up a solid teaching of Gods word.

God’s word can bring comfort to ones life, whether it is pain or illness from a physical situation or a financial melt down.

Some of the things we face daily are depression, feeling discouraged, and feeling impatient.

We even sometimes get so low we start doubting God.

So what do you do when you are at the point that you don’t know what to do?

Sometimes you might think you are sure about what you need to do; then fear shows up.

Isaiah 41:10   10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Another time you want to make a decision but lack the courage to step out in faith.

When you feel uncertain about making a decision, know in your heart that God will give you the courage you need.

Seek Gods will. Pray, meditate in His word. These prayer times sometimes give us the certainty we need.

Psalms 27:14   14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

God will give you strength for every situation you face.

When you rely on His power, you will run and not be weary, that’s Gods promise to you.

Let’s say your facing financial difficulties, financial problems can build up incredible stress, worry and anxiety.

You can get so preoccupied about how you will ever pay these bills off.

Turning to God for wisdom and direction is a vital step toward financial freedom.

His word is filled with the knowledge and insight you need for getting through these tough times.

Matthew 6:31-33   31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

God knows your needs and will provide in ways you can’t even imagine.

Ephesians 3:20   20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

He has promised to supply all your needs, according to the riches of His perfect knowledge, unlimited power an unshakeable love for you.

Psalms 34:10   10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek theLord shall not want any good thing.

One of the things we really need to do is totally surrender our lives to God. Trust in Him. Meditate on Him and His will for your life.

The word surrender means: an act of yielding or giving up our way of doing things and going to God and seeking His way of doing things.

Sometimes after people reach a certain age they start thinking I’ve worked all my life and I don’t have a thing to show for it.

Then either Anger or depression starts showing up.

Ephesians 4:26-27   26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
27 Neither give place to the devil.

Don’t ever let anger control your thoughts. Anger and depression will cause you to want to give up.
So what do you do? When you don’t know what to do, go to God, and say to God, I surrender all.

When you surrender all you have to God, you will get all that God has for you.
