What Shall I Do When I'm Hurting

What Shall I Do When I'm Hurting

We are living in a world of hurt. But there is hope in the midst of hurting.

Yes, because there is a God who cares and who promises to protect and provide.

The question is why do we hurt? Why does God allow it?

How long can I hang on? How long until things change?

This is one of the reasons why I like to teach and raise up a solid teaching of Gods word.

God’s word can bring comfort to ones life, whether it is pain or illness from a physical situation or a financial melt down.

Some of the things we face daily are depression, feeling discouraged, and feeling impatient.

We even sometimes get so low we start doubting God.

So what do you do when you are at the point that you don’t know what to do?

Sometimes you might think you are sure about what you need to do; then fear shows up.

Isaiah 41:10   10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Another time you want to make a decision but lack the courage to step out in faith.

When you feel uncertain about making a decision, know in your heart that God will give you the courage you need.

Seek Gods will. Pray, meditate in His word. These prayer times sometimes give us the certainty we need.

Psalms 27:14   14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

God will give you strength for every situation you face.

When you rely on His power, you will run and not be weary, that’s Gods promise to you.

Let’s say your facing financial difficulties, financial problems can build up incredible stress, worry and anxiety.

You can get so preoccupied about how you will ever pay these bills off.

Turning to God for wisdom and direction is a vital step toward financial freedom.

His word is filled with the knowledge and insight you need for getting through these tough times.

Matthew 6:31-33   31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

God knows your needs and will provide in ways you can’t even imagine.

Ephesians 3:20   20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

He has promised to supply all your needs, according to the riches of His perfect knowledge, unlimited power an unshakeable love for you.

Psalms 34:10   10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek theLord shall not want any good thing.

One of the things we really need to do is totally surrender our lives to God. Trust in Him. Meditate on Him and His will for your life.

The word surrender means: an act of yielding or giving up our way of doing things and going to God and seeking His way of doing things.

Sometimes after people reach a certain age they start thinking I’ve worked all my life and I don’t have a thing to show for it.

Then either Anger or depression starts showing up.

Ephesians 4:26-27   26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
27 Neither give place to the devil.

Don’t ever let anger control your thoughts. Anger and depression will cause you to want to give up.
So what do you do? When you don’t know what to do, go to God, and say to God, I surrender all.

When you surrender all you have to God, you will get all that God has for you.

stay in the word,
Brother Andy

FREEDOM FROM A SIN CONCIOUS

FREEDOM FROM A SIN CONCIOUS

Hebrew 2: 14-15   14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

When you know and understand what Jesus has done for you, then you are free from bondage. But to be free from bondage, you have to know the truth.

John 14:6   Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

The truth is the servant of the Lord must not strive pertains to being drawn aside into endless discussions which serve no purpose and can only conclude in strife.

The servant of the Lord must be patient and in meekness instructing those, so God will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth. And they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, those who are taken captive by him at his will.

If you don’t know the truth you are in danger of a sin conscious.

The danger of a sin conscious is that your faith won’t work. No matter what you are believing for, it won’t work.

The question is what did Jesus really do? Jesus left his home in heaven, then came to earth, took on a body of flesh and blood, so he could die. As a spirit he could not die, spirit doesn’t die.

So, in order for him to die he had to take on something that could die a body of flesh and blood. Not only did he take on flesh and blood so he could die, he now has a body to give as a sin offering.

He was born to die… there had to be a death, there had to be a blood sacrifice. Everything Jesus suffered was supposed to be for us.

He took our suffering; our pain of death, the whipping, being beat, spit on, and even went to hell in our place.  Because he went to hell we don’t have to.

The sin debt had to be paid for, and Jesus was the only one that could pay that debt. Jesus set us free from shame, poverty and the bondage of fear of death. Satan does not have the power of death anymore

If you don’t absolutely understand what Jesus did on that cross and as soon as the sin conscious comes back you will be back to step one.

Hebrew 10: 26   26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

After being born again and making Jesus the Lord of your life and having received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins. This means if the cross of Christ is rejected there is no other sacrifice or way to God that will be accepted.

If you don’t know who this is written to you will miss the whole thing. How can we give a correct interpretation of this verse of scripture, and not know what the Jewish people went through?

We have been taught that if you willfully or deliberately sin there is no more sacrifice for sin.

What did that do to you when someone said that to you? It makes you feel condemned, hopeless and it makes you feel like I might miss heaven.

This letter was written to the Jewish Hebrew people. It was never meant for the believers of Jesus. Under the Mosaic Law if you sin willfully after Jesus has come and go back to the sacrificing of bulls and goats… there is no more sacrifice!

The Hebrews willfully sinning is the rejection of Jesus Christ as the final sacrifice and going back to the temple sacrifice.

The only sacrifice for the remission of sin is the blood of Jesus Christ. And if you reject Him as the only sacrifice, there is none other sacrifice for sin.

This is and was always plan A. there is no plan B.

When you go back under the Law, and try to make Gods word work in your life under your own efforts you will fail.

You will always have a sin conscious, wondering if I break the law will this or that happen. You will always be in bondage with a sin conscious.

That is why Jesus came to deliver us and make us right before God, so we could have a righteous conscious.

Righteousness by the law says…do this and do that. Righteousness by faith says it has already been done.

It is not about what God is going to do… it is about what God has already done…

Too often I have seen Christians start going to church and things seem like they are going well, and then the adversary shows up and starts putting their past in front of their eyes.

They start thinking about the past sin in their lives and give up hope once more…

When you’re on the top of things the devil will do everything, he can to bring you down with words like this…

1.    Nobody loves you.

1John 4:7-8   Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

2.    Now you are all alone.

Hebrews 13:5  Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

3.    You have no friends…and it goes on and on.

John 15:15   15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

4.    Being a Christian is impossible; it is not going    to work for you.

John 15:7-8   If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

5.    You are a failure, and you are just going to fail again.

Romans 8:14  14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

6.    Things will never get better, stop fighting it and just accept it.

Romans 8:28   28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

7.    Who do you think you are somebody great, have you forgotten all those mistakes you have made?

John 8:32   32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

I have seen so many people try and try again to break free from their past only to end up listening to the poisonous condemning judgment and the lies of Satan.

That is the power of wrong belief, what you believe whether good or bad is powerful…Change your belief, change your life, don’t get caught up in the guilt trap, or the fear trap.

John 8:32 says… you shall know the truth and the truth, shall make you free.

Free from the bondage that Satan puts on you through deception and lies.

Jesus himself is the truth that sets us free; he is the source of truth, the perfect standard of what is right.

He frees us from the consequences of sin, from self deception and from deception by Satan.

He shows us clearly, the way to eternal life, with God… Jesus does not give us freedom to do what we want, but freedom to follow Gods word.

As we seek to serve God, Jesus’ perfect truth frees us to be all that God meant us to be.

Sin has a way of enslaving us, controlling us, and dominating us, dictating our actions.

Why?  Because Satan is always watching our movements throughout our lives, so he can accuse us.

1 Peter 5:8   Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Jesus can free you from all the things that keep you from becoming the person God created you to be.

If sin is restraining you from being what God created you to be, Jesus can break its power, sin has over your life.

Matthew 28:18   18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

He will take away the guilt, the sorrow and the emotional roller coaster that washes us back and forth.

God loves you; he will never leave or forsake you. Let the power and anointing of God lead and direct your life, and you will never have this guilt feeling again.

If you accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life, Satan has no right to accuse you of anything.

If you are a child of God, your past is behind you.

Matthew 6: 33    But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness: and all these things shall be added unto you.

God will add everything mentally, spiritually and physically that you need to fulfill the purpose that you were created to accomplish.

Revelation 21: 7-8    He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.   8: but the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and the murderers, and whoremongers and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Matthew 14: 29-31   And he said, come. And when peter was come down out of the ship he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying Lord, save me. 31  And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

How can you have a burst of faith one minute, and loose it the next minute?

One minute “I can do this”

The next minute, Jesus, hold my hand.

The spirit of fear from Satan stepped in

2nd Tim: 1:7   for God hath not given us the spirit of fear: but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

You can’t feed a sound mind from watching CNN

24-7. They will feed you with lies and fear.

John 14: 6   Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the father but by me.

This is God’s plan A. there is no plan B

YOU HAVE DOMINION OVER SATAN AND EVIL SPIRITS PART 2

YOU HAVE DOMINION OVER SATAN AND EVIL SPIRITS

                                                  PART 2
Seven steps of Satan’s destructive plan.

Regression, repression, suppression depression, oppression, obsession, possession.

1. Regression

Regression is the first step of the devil’s attacks. It is a battle against a person’s God given abilities of release and expression.

To regress in human personality is to go backward in spiritual force and power.

We are created for progress, advancement and understanding. When this goes into reverse, it is the first warning that negative powers are evident.

The devil then adds heavier bonds until the victim is helplessly bound by complete possession.

Only then can a fearless servant of God break the bonds and set the person free by the power and authority of God.

We must know these signs about demon power and understand them before we can combat the devil and be victorious.

2. Repression

God desires expression from us. Anyone who represses that function is doing the work of the devil.

One who represses is to destroy the natural expression God gave us at birth. A repressed personality takes away the joy and gladness of life.

God did not create human lives to be restrained by an abnormal environment.

The second step toward demon possession is often found in churches and religions.

Some people go to church and never experience the joy of salvation. They walk into the church, sit down and when the meeting is over, they leave. They have done their duty for another week.

Many church members go to church as though it were a funeral parlor. If God did manifest himself in any way it would scare them to death.

It is the devil that makes people act like this. Satan wants to steal all the joy and happiness from every human.

3. Suppression

Suppress means to abnormally crush as to suppress information.

Satan is very smart on suppression. It represents another step toward deterioration of emotions, and the destruction of complete personal happiness.

When feelings are not expressed, they are suppressed or held back. Let us realize that the devil causes suppression of the spiritual life.

Suppressed people are not energetic about anything, even disinterested in what goes on around them.

4. Depression

It is very sad that a great number of people in America today are so depressed.

Depression is a broken spirit, a person who is so pressed down until their spirit is crushed.

God does not want anyone depressed and sad. The devil takes advantage of those people and moves in with conflict and confusion. That will destroy their happiness, their home, their business and maybe even their lives through suicide.

Depression can reach a point in a person’s life to where they have lost all hope.

This is where people see no need in even trying any longer. This is a big step toward complete satanic control of a person.

God does not depress mankind; the devil is the depressor of human life.

5. Oppression

The fifth stage is one through which the devil drags a person down to destroy and possess him. This is oppression.

Acts 10:37-38   37 That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Judaea, and began from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached;
38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

To oppress someone is to weigh him down with something he is not able to carry.

Millions of people are oppressed with every kind of bug and disease. I believe it is natural to be healthy, and un-natural to be unhealthy.

Disease is one of the devils tools. Some worry about going out of their minds and that is what the devil wants them to think about.

But Gods word says Satan is a liar and the father of lies.

John 8:43-45   43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

Satan wants to torment people, he wants to hurt them, he wants to mock and laugh at God while he does it.

But Gods people do not have to suffer this terrible fear. One of the great blessings of Christianity is a strong mind that is capable of rejecting the unreasonable demand of fear.

Romans 8:14-15   14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Fear is bondage. Bondage is not of God. Fear is a spirit and Satan loves to use it against us.
2 Timothy 1:7   For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Satan wants to burden you with a feeling that all your trouble and misfortune is punishment from God for some great sin you committed.

All of these fall into the category of demonic oppression. Oppression can be overcome by exercising your Christian dominion and authority over the devils’ power.

You do this by faith, prayer and action. Ask God to give you divine power in your life to strengthen your inner being.

6. Obsession

A negative obsession always destroys the human personality…totally…

At this stage of demonic domination, it is doubtful that the person hurt by Satan can be delivered without the assistance of a strong spirit filled believer.

At this stage of obsession outside help is necessary. The reason is that obsession changes the mind. Black becomes white and white becomes black.

A straight thing is now crooked and a lie becomes the truth.

The loss of perspective causes the person to be out of step with everybody else around him or her. They don’t realize that their obsessed with some kind of wicked thing.

So, what is obsession? By definition it is an act of an evil spirit in causing a person or impelling him or her to an unreasonable action. It usually has no relationship with reality.

Obsession can come through as jealousy, hatred, sin and many other avenues, to invade a human’s personality.

An obsessed person eventually has no willpower. He or she has no strength to resist and they become as a slave.

Their mind gets on one track and it is impossible to change their thinking.

Only the divine power and the name of Jesus Christ and the deliverance of the prayer of faith can set them free.

Obsession can and will lead to possession.

7. Possession

Possession is an area where extreme caution is necessary. The step from obsession to possession is a big step.

The devil would like to push every obsessed person fully and finally into his clutches of full possession.

Up to this stage a person is not totally demon possessed.

A demon possessed person is under total complete jurisdiction of the devil.

At this point he has no mind or control of his own. Satan is not just the master of all that persons thinking and doing. He has full control of that life.

The person has no spirit to reach out for God. No soul to pray for help. He is helpless in the hands of a diabolical monster.

A demon possessed person can not look at a born again Christian and people that are sold out to God, he can not hold up his head to you, for the devil will not allow it.

So the first stages of demon possession often result from the association with others already under the devils control.

This problem can be made free by the anointing power of God through prayer, fasting and the name of Jesus.

The Holy Spirit can resolve all problems. The church is commissioned to cast out devils. We must fulfill this commission.

The same power in Jesus who set the captives free two thousand years ago can set them free today.

Can a Christian have a demon?

Depends!

The bible teaches very strongly about the security of the believer. No devil ever wanted to get inside Paul. They wanted to run as far away from him as they could.

Nowhere does the bible tell anyone to be afraid of the devil.

James 4:7   Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

We have a right to make him run. When we start playing in his territory we are in danger. So stay out of the devils territory.

When a Christian goes into the devils territory, unless intending to do battle and rescue a lost soul, that Christian becomes vulnerable to whatever satan offers. Even to being invaded by evil spirits.

When you play with sin, you can cancel the covering of the blood that keeps you safe. It gives permission to Satan to do as he pleases.

There are lots of evil spirits. Anger without restraint, can be a real danger of entrance of a spirit of anger.

Ephesians 4:26-27   26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:
27 Neither give place to the devil.

Adultery is a spirit. Don’t let the grip of the spirit of adultery enter into your life or mind.

Proverbs 6:32   32 But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding: he that doeth it destroyeth his own soul.

Only a prayer of deliverance can set you free, because demons can pass from one person to another, in and through the act of adultery.

There are all sorts of demon spirits. There are too many to put into this lesson. Some are jealous spirits, blasphemy, lying spirits, all these evil spirits must be cast out before people can be totally free.

So, what is a Christian?

A Christian is a person that has asked God to forgive them for their sins, accepted His son Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and believes that he died to redeem you by the shedding of his blood as a sacrifice, was resurrected and is sitting at the right hand of the Father making intersession for you.

John 3:16 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Taking authority over demons

Every Christians right by the blood and the name of Jesus, is to have dominion over Satan and his evil spirits.

A Christian is one who exercises dominion, knows how to appropriate the fullness of Gods provision. He lives a victorious life above and beyond fear, superstition and evil curses. He or she is forceful in Christ. They are warriors.

When Jesus answered Satan during the great temptations, He declared “it is written”.

It is written is the way we defeat the devil.

Luke 10:19   19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Man has never fully taken advantage of the true power of faith. God still waits for some heroes of faith to use the divine dominion he gave in the Garden of Eden.

Another instrument of dominion is action. God does not give power to the inactive. Jesus said, he that believeth on me, these works that I do shall he or she also do.

It is not enough to know Gods will you must do it.
