VICTORY OVER A SIN CONSCIOUS

VICTORY OVER A SIN CONSCIOUS

Hebrew 2: 14-15   14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

When you know and understand what Jesus has done for you, then you are free from bondage.

But to be free from bondage, you have to know the truth.

The danger of a sin conscious is that your faith won’t work

No matter what you are believing for, it won’t work.

The question is what did Jesus really do?

Jesus left his home in heaven, then came to earth, took on a body of flesh and blood, so he could die.

As a spirit he could not die, spirit doesn’t die.

In order for him to die he had to take on something that could die, a body of flesh and blood.

Not only did he take on flesh and blood so he could die, he now has a body to give as a sin offering.

He was born to die… there had to be a death, there had to be a blood sacrifice.

Everything Jesus suffered was supposed to be for us.

He took our suffering; our pain of death, the whipping, being beat, spit on, and even went to hell in our place.

Because he went to hell we don’t have to.

The sin debt had to be paid for, and Jesus was the only one that could pay that debt.

Jesus set us free from shame, poverty and the bondage of fear of death.

Satan does not have the power of death anymore.

If you don’t absolutely understand what Jesus did on that cross and as soon as the sin conscious comes back you will be back to step one.

Hebrew 10: 26   26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

If you don’t know who this is written to you will miss the whole thing.

How can we give a correct interpretation of this verse of scripture, and not know what the Jewish people went through?

We have been taught that if you willfully or deliberately sin there is no more sacrifice for sin.

What did that do to you when someone said that to you?

It makes you feel condemned, hopeless and it makes you feel like “I might miss heaven”.

This letter was written to the Jewish Hebrew people. It was never meant for the believers of Jesus.

Under the Mosaic Law if you sin willfully after Jesus has come and go back to the sacrificing of bulls and goats… there is no more sacrifice!

The Hebrews willfully sinning is the refection of Jesus Christ as the final sacrifice and going back to the temple sacrifice.

The only sacrifice for the remission of sin is the blood of Jesus Christ.

And if you reject Him as the only sacrifice, there is none other sacrifice for sin.

This is and was always plan A. there is no plan B.

When you go back under the Law, and try to make Gods word work in your life under your own efforts you will fail.

You will always have a sin conscious, wondering if I break the law will this or that happen.

You will always be in bondage with a sin conscious.

That is why Jesus came to deliver us and make us right before God, so we could have a righteous conscious.

Righteousness by the law says…do. Righteousness by faith says… done

It is not about what God is going to do, it is about what God has already done…

Grab this gift that the Son of God gave us. Accept that he has done it all. All we need to do is accept him as savior and serve Him.

Stay in the word.

Brother Andy.
