CRUCIFYING THE FLESH

CRUCIFYING THE FLESH

Galatians 2:20    20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Now that you live by faith in Christ Jesus who loves us and gave himself for us, we must crucify the flesh. Completely get the flesh out of the picture if you want to be God's servant and accomplish your mission.

The first step into the realm of the holy spirit is to get the flesh under control. Until you do God will not be able to use you in the manner He desires.

Romans 8:11-14   11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

We are not debtors to the flesh. After the transformation of the new birth we are debtors to the spirit. it was not the flesh that caused the new birth, it was not the flesh that brought Jesus to earth, it was the spirit of God that brought Jesus to earth.

The presence of God will not mix his presence with sin. It was the spirit of God the Holy Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead. This same Holy Spirit lives in you, so yield yourself to him.

Many believers yield themselves to the flesh and then ask: why aren’t things working out for me the glory of the death and burial of the flesh will cause a resurrection into a new life.

1 Corinthians 1:29    29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.

God's presence causes a reaction, people who mean business with God want the presence of God without limitations or boundaries. If the glory of God were to come in the way some Christians are praying for many would die.

Many are not willing to pay the price to get it. Every person has to pay a price to step into the fullness of God's presence. No one can pay that price for you. Not your parents or the pastor, you alone must pay the price of dying to self. Crucifying the flesh in the exchange of the fulness of God’s presence.

Matthew 26:41   41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

The reason people are deceived much of the time is that the flesh lives by the five senses. Which is the world system and that causes the flesh to stay weak. Until the flesh is transferred into the new birth it will stay weak.

Romans 7:18   18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

When you crucify self, the only thing that keeps you alive is the presence of God within you. Then when you walk, you do not walk as yourself, but as a representative of Christ Jesus the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.

You act right, talk right, look right, and walk right. People will see something different about you. This is what the world is looking for. Jesus gave himself so he could be used of God. This is supposed to be the Christians purpose, to be used of God.

Romans 13:14   14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

Make no provision for the flesh. Otherwise you will be lusting after the things of the world. You will end up with one foot in the spirit and the other foot in the world. Jesus calls that luke warm.

Most people want to have life in the realm of the spirit; however, the spirit world is an unknown realm to many Christians. To others it is where they live every day of their lives. We Christians are supposed to be more conscious of the spirit world than the place we call earth.

We are standing at the crossroad today. If we do not make a decision today to obey the word of the Lord tomorrow may be to late.

Jeremiah 32:27   27 Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?

God is the God of all flesh and there is nothing too hard for him. He is the creator of everything, nothing is impossible for God. He has a promise for your problems and the power to achieve it.

Joel 2:28   28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

This is after the day of the Lord. They had been at war, the day of the war had been very terrible, vs 18, then will the Lord be jealous for his land and have pity for his people.

Proverbs 8:35   35 For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the Lord.

The way of life for the wise is high above the ones who follow the things of the world. Once we are transferred from natural to supernatural, we are to take no thought for our life.

All we need to do is believe on the son for everlasting life, for the words he speaks are spirit and life.

Hebrews 4:16   16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

The age of grace we are in is coming to a divine conclusion. God's grace is the voice that calls us to change and then gives us the power to pull it off. God's grace, his unconditional loving unmerited favor. God's grace is truly much more than we deserve and greater than we can imagine.

When God's word says my grace is sufficient for us believe it. All of heaven stands behind his word.

James 5:14-15   14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

When I pray for someone in a prayer line and see people sick and hurting, I know my hands can not heal them. I have no power in the flesh. I know my God and have seen His power, in the name of Jesus is this power. I have the authority to use this power, the will of God will never lead you where the grace of God cannot keep you.

2 Corinthians 12:9      And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Even though God's grace is sufficient, we still need faith to be saved, because we are saved by grace through faith.

Matthew 9:28-30   28 And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
29 Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
30 And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.

Jesus ask them: Do you believe I am able to do this? Then he said to the two blind men: according to your faith be it unto you. Go and be healed.

He didn’t say according to mercies or grace, he said according to your faith. According to your faith be it added unto you your supply from God comes to you in proportion to the level of faith you have to receive it. God expects his children to live by faith, God is still in the healing and prosperity business.

Matthew 10:7-8   And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

If we ever expect to do God's work in its fulness, the flesh must be totally controlled by the spirit. if the flesh is involved in any shape or form it will cause fear and doubt. Freely we have received, freely give this is what the believer should be doing daily.

The test is whether or not we have the faith to receive this power and authority and to finish the mission we were called to do.

Hebrews 11:6   But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

You can receive the blessing you desire from God only according to your faith. The greater your faith the more abundantly you can receive. With only a little faith you receive only a part of what you desire.

That is why without faith it is impossible to please God. our very salvation that brings us into right standing with God is given through faith.

1 John 5:4   For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

If the flesh is in control you will walk without faith and you will be overcome by the world and the worlds deception. If you walk in faith in the spirit you will overcome the world.

This is how we receive faith. God's word says he will give you a measure of faith, that is to get you started. You get this measure at the time you get saved.

Notice according to this verse, God doesn’t give the measure of Faith to everyone. He gives it to everyone who is among us… born again.

It then becomes necessary for you to get into God's word so that your faith can increase, as your knowledge or understanding of the scripture grows. Jesus will develop a strong faith in you.

Act on and build on your faith today, so the windows of heaven can open a blessing to you.
