HEALING Part 1

HEALING
Part 1

Matthew 6:33   33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

We live in a world where there are two systems: the worlds system and the kingdom system. You must make the right choice for healing to be effective.

The world system is a death cycle which is based on fear, sickness, disease and death.

Gods kingdom is based on life, faith, health, and prosperity. The worlds system has limits, Gods kingdom has no limits.

There are different kinds of healing. Healing of the flesh, soul, finances, feelings and bad habits.

To be healed of anything you must go back to ‘seek you first the kingdom of God’ and his righteousness.

You must approach God, believe God is, God can and God will. You must believe God cannot lie and his word is the truth and his will for your life.

Hebrews 11:6   But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

If you don’t have faith, you’re not going to please God. If you please him, he will reward you…seek ye first…

Matthew 8:5-8   And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,
And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.
And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.
The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.

Jesus said, I will come and heal him, the centurion said, just speak the word only and my servant shall be healed.

If we had this kind of faith today our healing would always come. This centurion had no doubt that his servant would be healed.

Matthew 10:1, 6-8   And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

He called them and gave the power, there is only one power. Today under the new covenant we have this same power as the disciples had, in Jesus’ name.

Mark 16:15   15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Jesus commanded them to go and, in His name, command the devils to leave, to lay hands on the sick and command the sickness to leave so that they will recover.

When Jesus was asked to heal the centurion’s servant, Jesus command the healing. If you want your healing you must command it to come and the sickness to leave.

Proverbs 3:5   Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

We must stop leaning to our own understanding and start trusting what Gods word says, know the benefits and blessings he has for us.

Ephesians 1:18   18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

Believe in your heart that God will give unto you the spirit of wisdom and knowledge and the discernment of the truth about Him and the spirit of promise.

Let the Holy Spirit enlighten your understanding and give you hope according to the working of his mighty power that works in you in Christ Jesus.

We have in us a blood bought covenant that says, I will.

Mark 3:14-15   14 And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,
15 And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils

Most people have the tendency to believe that only the twelve disciples had been ordained to preach and to have the power to heal sickness and to cast out devils.

John 15:16   16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

Jesus in his own words says, you didn’t choose me, I chose you and ordained you. He has given the power and authority to go and bring forth fruit. Which means to do what the disciples did which was to preach the gospel, heal the sick, and cast out devils.

1 Corinthians 12:4-11   Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

The Corinthians had an abundance of spiritual gifts, but their trouble came not from a lack of exposure to the gifts, but a failure to properly use them.

Knowing about ones spiritual gifting is important, but the most important thing is knowing how to use the gift that the Holy Spirits anointing for the purpose of your calling and your life.

1 Corinthians 12:27-28   27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

The body of Christ refers to the church and members in particular it refers to every single individual in the church who is truly born again.

These different gifts are given to different people because of their faith, strength, obedience and sincerity of the word.

Proverbs 4:20-22   20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.

Don’t just read the word, think about what you read and meditate on it. Listen to what God is saying to you, and as you read the word don’t let it depart from your eyes. Better said, let the word go down into your heart, it is life to those who choose to do this and health to all their flesh.

3 John 1:2   Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Above all things that you prosper and be in health even as thy soul prospers. There are three different healings spoken here in this small verse.

John is saying above all that you prosper. Lots of people including Christians need a healing, as to their prosperity.

“and be in health” so many people are sick and loosing hope as their health deteriorates without a clue as to how to claim and command the sickness to leave.

“Even as thy soul prospers” one word from God can change anything in your life. However, you must understand the word and know the truth. It is all about how you think, your soul thinks and directs the truth by the Holy Spirit to your heart. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks, think about what you are saying. You are what you think, good or bad.

Proverbs 18:21   21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
