PARTAKERS OF GODS DIVINE NATURE

PARTAKERS OF GODS DIVINE NATURE

Divine = relating to or characteristic of God as a divine nature in the highest degree.

2 PETER 1:3-4   According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

According to Gods divine purpose for our life He has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness.

Whereby, we are given exceedingly great and precious promises, that we can be partakers of Gods divine nature.

The power to lead a godly life comes from God. God allows us to share in his divine nature.

In order to keep us from sinning, he helps us to live for Him, by empowering us with his own goodness.

“To empower means to give power or authority to authorize or give ability to.”

The Holy Spirit endued us with the ability or has empowered us with God’s own goodness so we are able to live a life of godliness.

Also sharing His divine nature with us lets us escape the corruption that is in the world through lust.

According to verse three, through His divine power he has made all things possible for life and godliness, which is your natural life and your spiritual life.

God wants you to use your faith which is your servant to declare all things, which is His promise to you through Christ Jesus.

Matthew 6:33   33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Seek God and His kingdom first and through His divine power that Jesus made possible through His death, burial and resurrection, all these things that pertain to life and godliness will be added unto you.

But first we must seek Gods kingdom and His love, because faith works by love.

1 Corinthians 13: 1-3    Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

Charity is a God like love for people, the supreme act of goodness toward one another.

Paul is saying, if I could speak in any language in heaven or on earth, but didn’t love others I would be making a meaningless noise.

And if I have the gift of prophecy and if I knew all the mysteries of the future and everything about everything, but didn’t love others, what good would I be.

And if I had the gift of faith, so that I could speak to a mountain and make it move, without love I would be no good to anybody.

Love is why God created man. He wanted a family to love. The two commandments that Jesus left to us was to love one another as I have loved you, and to love one another, to love your neighbor as yourself. These were commandments not suggestions.

If I didn’t have love for others, I would be no value whatsoever. Love never gives up, never loses faith, and endures through every circumstance.

Never the less, to live in Gods promises we must learn how to activate Gods manifestation of the things we desire when we pray.

This is why faith with love is the key, if we have faith like Abraham, God will bring into existence what didn’t exist before: calling those things which be not as though they were.

Romans 4:17   17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

Which means you can speak things which don’t exist in the natural realm by transferring things into existence, by faith, in the supernatural realm.

After the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, new laws were established in the heavens by grace.

By faith through grace, in love “which is a must” we can move God, and receive from heaven Gods blessings, by divine power and trusting God, by believing He will do what His word says He will do.

God has ways of blessing us by his supernatural angelic forces, and through people.

John 14: 13-14   13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

When Jesus say’s we can ask for anything, we must remember that our asking must be in His name, according to Gods word, God will not grant requests contrary to the nature of His word.

No sin in your life, no aught against someone. God will not answer your prayer if you have these two things in your life. He will not answer if there is something he told you to do that you did not do, or something he has already done.

Matthew 21: 21-22   21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, if ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

To better explain the last two chapters, first, God the father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit absolutely want the best for the children of God. Everything God created, mankind who are believers, have access to, by faith through grace and love.

God has a number of ways to manifest and transfer the things we want. However, He knows the future and will not answer a prayer that He knows will harm us now or in the future.

You wouldn’t give a ten-year-old your car keys, and send him to the store… but according to Philippians 4:19, He will meet all our needs.

Don’t focus so much on the things of the world, but stay focused on eternal things… for instance Heaven.

1 Corinthians 13:8-10   1 Corinthians 13:8-10 King James Version (KJV

Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

There is going to be a time when all these things cease to be, but charity which is love will never fail.

It is human nature to put one’s confidence in that which will fail. instead of investing in that which is eternal. Prophecies tongues and knowledge will all vanish once they have served their purpose, but love never fails.
Love will last forever, but prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will all disappear. At that time, we will experience God’s giving selfless love. The God kind of love that Jesus walked in.

The supernatural love walk of God is where we need to be, if we are going to reap the blessings and manifestation that Jesus made possible for us through grace.

Why is love the greatest of all these? When Christ Jesus makes all things new and his followers are ushered into the eternal state, faith will no longer be necessary because the redeemed will see God face to face.

Hope will no longer be necessary because their hope will have been perfectly realized. But love will remain and it will finally be known without the taint of sin.

Every Christian is a ministering instrument to serve God and one other, in this God giving love walk, that is what Jesus demonstrated for us.
James 1:5   If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

If you want to know what God wants you to do, ask Him about the ability to make wise decisions in difficult circumstances.
John 16:13-15   13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

Jesus is saying, this is what I mean when I say that he will show you my glory, in just a little while I will be gone and you won’t see me anymore: but a little while after that you will see me again.
Jesus said the Holy Spirit would tell them about the future, the nature of their mission and the opposition they would face, and what would be the final outcome of their efforts.
Mark 6:41-42   41 And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave them to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all.
42 And they did all eat, and were filled.

The manifestation of gifts by the Holy Spirit was upon Jesus’ ministry, but the gift of tongues and the interpretation of tongues didn’t manifest until after the cross.
When you become a pastor or teacher the Spirit of increase, supernaturally is on your life in your ministry.
At the time you become a preacher/teacher you are responsible for the power of increase in the congregation.
The anointing of a pastor is the same anointing as is on a teacher. There is only one anointing, the Holy Spirit.
When you become a teacher/preacher you should totally give yourself to God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, that way the spirit of God can give you the gifts of the spirit. a discernment and anointing. The Holy Spirit can elevate the anointing to the level he wishes, all the power you need to get the sermon or lesson taught.
That is how with Gods love walk, and the increase of wisdom, your life can be blessed in abundance.

We become partakers of Gods divine nature by love.
