NOT A FAILURE BY SHAME

Lesson for April 21, 2017

Isaiah 50:7   For the Lord God will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.

Shame is a weapon Satan uses when one sins. God wants to set us free through Christ Jesus. Once you have repented of what you are feeling shame and guilt for, let it go. God has.

On the cross, Jesus became sin for us. That is what being justified means, (just as if we had never sinned).

Matthew 27:46   46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

And at the ninth hour, Jesus shouted in a loud voice, "Eloi Eloi lama sabachthani?" which is translated, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" It is the only saying that appears in more than one Gospel, and is a quote from Psalms 22:2.

At that point on the cross, Jesus had just taken the sins of the world upon himself. The reason he thought God the father had forsaken Him is that the father could not look upon sin. His glory would have destroyed Jesus.

Satan always twists the things around. Jesus took our shame at the same time he took our sin, we have to stand up to shame.  Let Satan know that you know the truth.

Shame is the failure of feeling worthy. You feel unworthy and unloved. If not dealt with you can become paranoid from the guilt.

You are not a failure just because of your feelings. In Jesus you are made perfect. Stop feeling bad about what you did. Satan will use this feeling of shame and guilt against you.

If shame is how you see yourself and feel about yourself, other people will see you the same way.

We need to empty ourselves of all shameful feelings and transgressions. We must stop letting shame dominate our lives.

Now that you know that Satan is behind shame and guilt, lets conquer it with what God says.

Nehemiah 8:10   10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

For the joy of the Lord is your strength. When you rejoice God restores; God wants to restore you, but you have to desire it and believe.

Every believer should be in the midst of complete supernatural restoration. If you will notice the first part of the word restoration is “rest”.

Hebrews 4:9   There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.

There is a special rest still waiting for the people of God. For everyone who enters into Gods rest will find rest from every failure ever done and the shame that came from it.

We do not need to wait for the next life to enjoy Gods rest and peace. We may have it daily now. If Jesus has provided for our rest through faith, why must we struggle?  Jesus has already made this rest available for us.

God wants to restore everything you need to make your life full of peace and joy today and every day.

Everything the enemy stole from you, God intends to supernaturally restore it to you. Faith is the key to this supernatural restoration.

Another key to restoration is Joy. The Joy of the Lord is the supernatural key to restoration. I want you to see how to use Joy to ignite faith.

Restoration is always the objective when Joy is released. This joy of the Lord, which comes from His promises and provision really can give you strength, a strength that you can believe in. so when you have a weak moment and need strength to get passed it, release the Joy of the Lord.

Let the devil know you’re not going to put up with guilt, shame, or temptation anymore. Get bold, you are a child of the king of kings and Lord of Lords. Command that devil to get out of your mind and out of your life, in the name of Jesus.

Receive the fullness of God, the fullness of God is to be whole in body, mind and spirit. Whole is nothing broken, you are not broken. Be strong in the Lord and the power of His might.

Joel 2: 21-23   21 Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the Lord will do great things.
22 Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength.
23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.

The first part of restoration is rest, rather than fear. Rejoice for the Lord will do great things. God is not a little God, he is God of plenty.

God has dealt wonderfully. Never be ashamed, shame died at the cross. So if you are having an issue with shame and guilt…STOP…release your joy and go about your day, God is still in control.

Everything we do starts with a decision. Don’t let the devil deceive you by making you have guilt feelings.

Happiness is based on your decisions, joy is based on what you know, when nothing seems to be working, and you remember something from Gods word, say praise the Lord… something will work.

When God mentions the former rain, and the latter rain, it is talking about the spirit of God coming together as the anointing for the believer. Your future looks very anointed, because of Jesus and what he did for us.

Psalms 51:10-12   10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

We must know how to respond when issues that don’t seem to be working. We don’t respond as the world does, we are Christians, we respond differently. We say, if I can get my joy in the Lord restored, everything will fall into place. We are in effect trusting in the Lord, not in our own abilities.

So if you are having an issue of shame or quilt, where is your Joy? A Christian should not be without joy.

Habakkuk 3:18-19   18 Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.

19 The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.

Always rejoice in the Lord. Your feelings are not to be controlled by the events around you. When nothing makes sense and when troubles seem more than you can bear, remember God gives strength.

Take your eyes off your difficulties and look to God. The situation doesn’t have to be right for you to have the Joy of the Lord.

I don’t know what is missing in your life, I don’t even pretend to know. I don’t know the circumstances, but I know how to get you out of them. Start by rejoicing and praising God.

Do you want to walk in the high places? You rejoice, he restores. Joy is the fuse to igniting your faith. It is time to lite the fuse.

Get Gods joy inside of you. Faith will rearrange things. Being sad is a waste of the time. God needs the voice of his people… he needs your voice.

Jeremiah 33:9   And it shall be to me a name of joy, a praise and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto them: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure unto it.

It shall be to me a name of Joy and a praise and an honor. The good I do unto them.  Continue to praise God and trust him with all your cares.
